The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse (SACT Trained) to support an NHS Oncology service in South East England.
This temporary locum opportunity offers a structured Monday to Friday working pattern ongoing, providing consistent weekday work within a specialist oncology department. The role is well suited to experienced chemotherapy nurses who are confident in the safe administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
You will work alongside an established multidisciplinary team, supporting patients throughout their treatment journey while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care and safety.

What You'll Be Doing
- Administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) in accordance with local and national guidelines.
- Assess, monitor and support patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
- Cannulate patients and manage vascular access devices, including PICC lines and central venous access devices.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to adverse reactions and treatment complications.
- Provide patient education and support regarding treatment plans, side effects and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Work collaboratively with oncologists, pharmacists, specialist nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to delivering safe, effective and patient-centred oncology services.
What We're Looking For
- Active NMC registration.
- SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) competency and training.
- Relevant recent UK chemotherapy nursing experience.
- Experience administering intravenous chemotherapy treatments.
- Competence in cannulation and managing central venous access devices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
- Strong clinical judgement, communication skills and professionalism.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
