The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Obstetrics & Gynaecology doctor at SpR level to support an NHS Women's Health service in Yorkshire.

This opportunity offers a locum contract from 27/07/2026 to 31/10/2026, with participation in a full registrar rota. The role includes a varied shift pattern across days, nights and out-of-hours commitments, making it well suited to doctors seeking comprehensive Obstetrics & Gynaecology experience within a busy NHS department.

You will work alongside Consultants, Specialty Doctors, Midwives and multidisciplinary teams, supporting the delivery of safe and effective care across obstetric and gynaecological services.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support Obstetrics & Gynaecology services within a busy NHS department
• Participate in the full registrar rota, including nights, long days and out-of-hours commitments where applicable
• Assess and manage patients across obstetric and gynaecological pathways
• Support labour ward, emergency gynaecology and inpatient services
• Work collaboratively with Consultants, Midwives, Nurses and wider multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and contribute to safe patient care
• Support efficient day-to-day service delivery across the department

What We're Looking For

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• Relevant recent UK Obstetrics & Gynaecology experience at SpR level or equivalent
• Ability to participate in a full registrar rota
• Strong clinical judgement, communication and multidisciplinary working skills
• Ability to work independently within a busy NHS Obstetrics & Gynaecology service
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
