The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant in General Medicine to support an NHS General Medicine service in North London.
This locum opportunity offers a flexible weekly commitment, working one day per week on Wednesdays from 09:00–17:00, from 29th July 2026 to 30th September 2026.
The role provides an excellent opportunity for a Consultant looking for a regular, structured NHS locum commitment within an established medical service. You will work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the ongoing provision of General Medicine services.
You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing and managing adult patients with a variety of medical conditions, applying your specialist expertise to ensure safe, effective and patient-centred care.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver Consultant-led General Medicine services within an NHS setting
- Assess, diagnose and manage adult patients presenting with a broad range of medical conditions
- Provide specialist clinical input during scheduled clinical sessions
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient outcomes
- Support effective clinical decision-making and high standards of patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
- Contribute to the safe, efficient and effective delivery of General Medicine services
- Participate in clinical governance and service improvement activities where appropriate
What We're Looking For
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise
- Recent UK NHS Consultant General Medicine experience
- Excellent clinical judgement, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
