The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant Clinical Oncologist (Lung and Urology) to support an NHS oncology service in the East of England region.
This temporary locum opportunity is available ASAP until 31 October 2026, offering a consistent Monday to Friday working pattern, 09:00–17:00. The role is ideally suited to an experienced Consultant Clinical Oncologist with expertise in systemic treatment and radiotherapy for lung and urological cancers.
You will work alongside an established oncology team, providing specialist clinical input, delivering high-quality cancer care and supporting effective treatment pathways for patients across the service.

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide specialist Consultant Clinical Oncology input for lung and urological cancers
- Deliver and oversee systemic anti-cancer treatments and radiotherapy pathways
- Assess patients and develop evidence-based oncology treatment plans
- Review treatment response, manage toxicities and provide ongoing clinical care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to support diagnosis, treatment planning and patient management
- Work collaboratively with medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, specialist nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
- Support the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred oncology services
What We're Looking For
- Active GMC registration with a licence to practise
- CCT (or equivalent recognised qualification) in Clinical Oncology
- Relevant recent UK Consultant Clinical Oncology experience
- Experience managing lung and urological cancer patients
- Experience delivering systemic anti-cancer treatments and radiotherapy
- Ability to work independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical judgement, communication skills and professionalism
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
