The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant in Diabetes & Endocrinology to support services in the East of England.

The department will also consider General Medicine Consultants to undertake weekday ward rounds, offering flexibility for consultants with strong general medical experience.

This locum opportunity provides a structured Monday–Friday schedule (09:00–17:00), delivering consistent daytime work within a busy hospital environment. It is well suited to consultants confident in managing diabetes, endocrine conditions, or general medical inpatients while maintaining high standards of care.

You will be working alongside established multidisciplinary teams, supporting day-to-day service delivery and contributing to safe, effective patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality care within Diabetes & Endocrinology or General Medicine
• Support day-to-day clinical operations and contribute to efficient patient flow
• Carry out assessments, interventions, and treatments in line with local protocols
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, AHPs, and the wider MDT
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation
• Provide specialist advice, guidance, and triage where required
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and well-functioning clinical environment

What We’re Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• Consultant-level experience in Diabetes & Endocrinology or General Medicine
• Recent UK NHS experience
• Ability to work independently and within an established MDT
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
