The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Consultant Neurologist to support a service in East of England.
This opportunity offers a 3-month locum contract within a Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 shift pattern, providing structured and consistent work within a hospital environment. It is well suited to candidates with experience in Neurology who are confident managing outpatient clinics and supporting waiting list initiatives while maintaining high standards of patient care.
You will be working alongside established clinical teams, delivering a blend of face-to-face outpatient clinics and virtual triage sessions. The post includes 7 clinical sessions and 3 administrative sessions per week, with no on-call commitments.

- Deliver specialist Neurology care through face-to-face outpatient clinics
- Undertake virtual triage of patients on the existing waiting list
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of neurological conditions
- Support day-to-day clinical operations and service delivery
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, AHPs, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
- Participate in dedicated administrative sessions to support service efficiency
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and patient-focused clinical environment
- Active GMC registration
- Consultant-level experience in Neurology
- Relevant recent UK experience within the NHS
- Experience managing outpatient clinics and virtual patient assessments
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
