The Programme
We are currently supporting an NHS insourcing programme within Dermatology in Scotland.
This long-term programme has been established to increase outpatient dermatology capacity, reduce waiting times, and improve patient access to specialist care. Consultants will work within a structured service model delivering general dermatology clinics, supported by an organised insourcing team and governance framework.

- Patient Activity: Approximately 26 patients per day (13 per session), comprising a mixture of new and follow-up appointments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver General Dermatology outpatient clinics within a structured insourced service model.
- Assess and manage both new and follow-up dermatology patients.
- Work within agreed clinical pathways, governance standards, and service protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Support NHS elective recovery and waiting list reduction objectives.
- Collaborate with the wider clinical team to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care.
What We're Looking For
- GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Dermatology.
- Previous experience working as a Consultant Dermatologist.
- PVG clearance is essential.
- Strong communication and MDT working skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a structured insourcing environment.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note that visa sponsorship is not available).

The Trust is highly flexible regarding clinic days and aims to work around consultants' existing commitments wherever possible. Reduced days can also be accommodated where travel arrangements require this, provided this is agreed in advance to allow appropriate clinic booking.
