The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant Gastroenterologist to support a service in Wales.

This opportunity offers a locum contract commencing ASAP, with an initial duration of 3 months and ongoing potential thereafter. The role sits within the Gastroenterology, Endoscopy & Hepatology Department, providing structured and consistent work within a hospital environment.

You will be working alongside an established clinical team, supporting service delivery across outpatient, endoscopy, and hepatology pathways while contributing to safe, effective patient care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality Consultant-level Gastroenterology care
• Conduct 2 Outpatient Clinics (OPC) per week/session as required
• Undertake 1 Endoscopy session
• Develop and review management plans following endoscopy insourcing activity
• Support ongoing clinical administration requirements
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, endoscopy teams, and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and patient-focused clinical environment

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• Consultant-level Gastroenterology experience
• Relevant recent UK NHS experience
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism
• Ability to work independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
