The Opportunity

We are currently seeking 3 General Surgery (SHO) doctors to support the General Surgery service in North West England.

This opportunity offers a full rota position from August to December 2026, providing structured and consistent work within a busy acute surgical environment. It is well suited to candidates with previous NHS experience who are confident managing surgical patients and contributing to the delivery of high-quality care.

You will be working alongside established clinical teams, supporting day-to-day service delivery and contributing to safe, effective patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver high-quality care within a General Surgery setting
  • Support the assessment, investigation, and management of surgical patients
  • Participate in ward rounds, admissions, discharges, and clinical reviews
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and contribute to safe patient care
  • Support efficient patient flow and day-to-day service delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Active GMC registration
  • Minimum 12 months UK NHS experience
  • Previous experience working within General Surgery at SHO level
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
