The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Locum Consultant Haematologist to support a service in the North West on an initial 3-month contract.
This opportunity offers a structured consultant-level position combining outpatient haematology clinics, MDT participation, administrative sessions, and on-call responsibilities. It is well suited to an experienced Haematology Consultant who is confident managing both malignant and non-malignant haematology patients while contributing to multidisciplinary decision-making and service delivery.
You will be working alongside an established clinical team, supporting patient care across outpatient services and providing consultant-level expertise within the department.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality consultant-led care within a busy Haematology service
- Conduct new patient, follow-up, and two-week wait haematology clinics
- Participate in regular MDT meetings and contribute to treatment planning
- Provide clinical leadership and specialist advice to multidisciplinary teams
- Support day-to-day service delivery while maintaining high standards of patient care
- Complete clinical documentation and administrative responsibilities in a timely manner
- Participate in scheduled consultant on-call duties
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, laboratory, and allied health professional colleagues

What We're Looking For
- Active GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Consultant-level experience in Haematology
- Relevant recent NHS experience
- Experience managing outpatient haematology clinics and MDT participation
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to multidisciplinary teams
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, and organisational skills
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
