The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (Approved Clinician) to support a Community CAMHS service in the South East.
This opportunity offers a full-time locum contract, providing structured and consistent work within a specialist community mental health setting. It is well suited to experienced CAMHS Consultants who are confident managing complex mental health presentations in children and young people while maintaining high standards of care.
You will be working alongside established multidisciplinary teams, supporting day-to-day service delivery and contributing to safe, effective, and patient-centred care across the Community CAMHS pathway.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric care within a Community CAMHS environment.
- Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for children and young people.
- Provide clinical leadership and specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team.
- Manage complex cases and contribute to effective risk assessment and safeguarding processes.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, social workers, and external agencies.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
- Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Current Approved Clinician (AC) Status (Mandatory).
- Active GMC registration.
- Relevant recent UK NHS experience, ideally within CAMHS.
- Experience working with children and adolescents presenting with a range of mental health conditions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
