The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Consultant in Elderly Medicine to support a service in the South East.
This opportunity offers a long-term locum contract from 10 August 2026 to 6 November 2026, with a structured Monday to Friday working pattern. The role is ideally suited to experienced Consultants in Elderly Medicine who are confident managing complex medical patients, delivering ward-based care, and supporting Acute Frailty services in a busy acute hospital environment.
You will work alongside established multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care while supporting both Elderly Medicine and Acute Frailty pathways.

- Provide Consultant-led ward cover within the Elderly Medicine department.
- Support the Acute Frailty take on the emergency floor.
- Conduct post-take ward rounds and clinical reviews.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex medical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, therapists, and wider multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Contribute to safe patient flow and high-quality service delivery.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Must be on the GMC Specialist Register.
- Recent NHS experience within Elderly Medicine and/or Acute Frailty services.
- Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
