The Opportunity

We are currently seeking 2 Histopathology Consultants to support services in Southeast England.

This opportunity offers an ongoing locum contract within a Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm shift pattern, providing structured and consistent work within a hospital environment. The role is ideally suited to experienced Histopathology Consultants with strong reporting experience in Urology and Cancer Pathology.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide high-quality diagnostic reporting within a General Histopathology service
• Report a broad range of histopathology specimens with a focus on Urology and Cancer cases
• Support the department in achieving cancer reporting turnaround times of 10 days
• Participate in multidisciplinary team working and contribute to clinical decision-making
• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive pathology reports
• Work collaboratively with consultants, biomedical scientists, and wider clinical teams
• Ensure compliance with departmental, NHS, and professional standards
• Contribute to a safe, effective, and efficient pathology service

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• FRCPath Part 2 qualification (essential)
• Relevant recent UK NHS Histopathology experience
• Strong experience in General Histopathology
• Specialist experience in Urology and Cancer Pathology
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent diagnostic, communication, and organisational skills
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
