Physician: General Medicine (Consultant)

We are currently seeking a General Medicine Consultant to support a service in Scotland.

This opportunity offers a locum contract supporting the General Medicine Department within a hospital environment. It is well suited to experienced consultants who are confident working in acute medical settings while maintaining high standards of patient care.

You will be working alongside established clinical teams, supporting day-to-day service delivery and contributing to safe, effective patient care.

• Deliver high-quality care within a General Medicine environment.
• Support day-to-day clinical operations, contributing to efficient patient flow and service delivery.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in line with local protocols and best practice.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, AHPs, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
• Identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and well-functioning clinical environment.

• Active GMC registration.
• Relevant recent UK NHS experience at Consultant level.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
