The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Anaesthetic Consultant to support a service located in the West Midlands.

This long-term locum opportunity, the role offers a consistent placement within an established hospital setting and is ideal for experienced Consultants in Anaesthesia looking for a longer-term assignment.

You will work alongside established multidisciplinary teams, supporting theatre services and contributing to the delivery of safe, effective patient care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality anaesthetic care across theatre services
• Assess, prepare, and manage patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Provide expert clinical support before, during, and after surgery
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, theatre staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
• Identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Support the safe and efficient running of operating theatres
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and patient-focused clinical environment

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• Consultant-level experience in Anaesthesia
• Relevant recent UK experience
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
