The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced SAS Doctor to support the Mental Health Service based in the South East.
This opportunity offers a locum contract working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, providing structured and consistent work within a community mental health setting.
The role is ideally suited to candidates with substantial experience managing a broad range of mental health presentations and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies to deliver high-quality patient care.
You will be supporting service delivery through clinical assessments, medication reviews, follow-up care, case consultations, and multidisciplinary team working.

- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments.
- Provide follow-up care and ongoing management for patients.
- Undertake medication reviews and support prescribing decisions where appropriate.
- Deliver clinical support and guidance to the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in MDT meetings and collaborative care planning.
- Provide case consultations and specialist mental health advice.
- Work closely with patients and their families across a broad range of mental health presentations.
- Collaborate with statutory and non-statutory partner organisations to support effective care pathways.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical records in line with service and NHS standards.
- Active GMC registration.
- Previous experience working as an SAS Doctor within Mental Health services.
- Experience working with patients and families across a broad range of mental health presentations.
- Strong understanding of mental health care pathways and partnership working.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
