Physician: Neurology (Consultant)

We are currently seeking a Neurology Consultant to support a hospital service.

This opportunity offers a 3-month locum contract working Monday to Friday, 09:00am to 5:00pm, providing structured and consistent work within a specialist neurology service.

The role is well suited to experienced Consultants who are confident managing outpatient neurology patients and supporting waiting list initiatives through a blend of face-to-face clinics and virtual triage sessions.

You will be working alongside established clinical teams, supporting outpatient service delivery, reviewing referrals, and contributing to safe, effective patient care.

• Deliver a combination of face-to-face outpatient clinics and virtual triage sessions.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a range of neurological conditions.
• Support waiting list management through virtual review and triage of existing referrals.
• Provide expert clinical advice and guidance in line with best practice.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, AHPs, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
• Contribute to the delivery of a safe, efficient, and patient-centred neurology service.

• 7 Clinical Sessions per Week
• 3 Administrative Sessions per Week
• Approximately 4 to 5 outpatient clinics per week.
• Approximately 2 to 3 virtual triage sessions per week.
• Clinics are 4 hours in duration.
• New patient appointments are allocated 30 minutes.

• Active GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Relevant recent UK experience at Consultant level within Neurology.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism.
• Experience delivering outpatient neurology services.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
