About the role
About ProMedical
ProMedical provides specialist medico-legal services to law firms, insurers, regulators and public bodies requiring independent clinical opinion.
We operate as both an expert provider and a medical reporting organisation, managing the full pathway from instruction and expert matching through to reporting and case coordination. Our work is built around clinically matched experts, structured reporting, and strong governance standards to ensure accuracy, independence, and consistency.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon to join our growing Medico-Legal Panel.
We have an immediate requirement for an independent expert to prepare a Clinical Negligence Condition & Prognosis Report following a claimant examination and review of the medical records.
The instruction relates to the long-term effects of injuries allegedly sustained following an intravenous cannula extravasation injury during an inpatient admission. The successful expert will undertake a medico-legal examination, review approximately 200 pages of medical records, and provide an independent opinion regarding the claimant's current condition, scarring, soft tissue damage, functional impairment, future treatment requirements and long-term prognosis. Confidential case details will only be shared following an initial suitability assessment and conflict check.
