The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Consultant Rheumatologist to support a service in London, within the Integrated Community, Older People, Rehabilitation and Specialist Services Directorate (ICORS).
This opportunity offers a 6-month locum contract from 1st September 2026 to 26th February 2027, providing structured and consistent work within an NHS setting. The role is well suited to experienced Rheumatology Consultants who are confident managing outpatient clinics and delivering high-quality patient care.
You will be working alongside established clinical teams, supporting service delivery and contributing to safe, effective patient care.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality Rheumatology care within outpatient clinic settings.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of rheumatological conditions.
- Support day-to-day clinical operations and service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, AHPs, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and patient-focused service.
What We're Looking For
- Active GMC Registration.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Rheumatology or equivalent experience.
- Relevant recent NHS experience at Consultant level.
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
