The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Specialty Doctor in Paediatric Anaesthetics (TACC & Surgery) to support a service in South East England.

This ongoing locum opportunity offers 07:30-19:30 shifts, Monday to Friday, with availability for 3-5 days per week. The role involves covering elective and obstetric anaesthetic lists within a busy hospital environment and is well suited to candidates who are confident working independently while maintaining high standards of patient care.

You will be working alongside established clinical teams, supporting day-to-day service delivery and contributing to safe, effective patient care.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide anaesthetic cover for elective and obstetric lists.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care within paediatric anaesthetic services.
  • Work independently while supporting efficient theatre and maternity service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with consultants, theatre teams, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and effective clinical environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Active GMC registration.
  • Minimum of 12 months' UK experience undertaking solo anaesthetic lists.
  • Experience within Paediatric Anaesthetics (TACC & Surgery).
  • Experience covering both elective and obstetric lists.
  • Relevant recent UK NHS experience.
  • Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
