We are recruiting an exceptional Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term position commencing September 2026 at a vibrant primary school in Hemel Hempstead. Supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, this modern school offers excellent resources to ensure every child thrives. We need an engaging educational professional who can deliver creative learning strategies, tailor instruction to diverse pupil needs, and build a positive classroom culture.


Core Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Delivery: Formulate and teach high-impact, differentiated lessons aligned with National Curriculum standards to cater to varying learning styles.
  • Classroom Engagement: Utilise dynamic teaching methods, phonics schemes, and foundational math concepts to drive student achievement.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and supervise classroom Teaching Assistants to maintain a safe, highly productive, and well-managed learning space.
  • Progress Tracking: Conduct regular, structured pupil assessments to track achievements and identify areas for further academic growth.
  • Staff Collaboration: Partner closely with internal leaders, including the SENCO and key stage coordinators, to support SEND and EAL pupils.
  • Parental Engagement: Maintain clear, ongoing communication with families to build a strong network of support around each student.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. Proven experience working within a primary school setting (open to both Early Career Teachers and experienced staff).
  • Pedagogical Expertise: Strong grasp of primary curriculum standards, positive behaviour strategies, and adaptive teaching methodologies.
  • Resilience & Patience: A calm, proactive demeanour with the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset focused on promoting overall student wellbeing and academic success.
  • Vetting: Holds an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to apply for one through Randstad).
