Job Title: Religious Education (RE) & Ethics Specialist

Salary/Rate: £150 - £210 per day

Location: Chelmsford district, Essex

Randstad Education is recruiting an engaging RE & Philosophy Teacher to join our candidate pool for thriving secondary academies located in Chelmsford. This role combines specialist Religious Studies teaching across KS3/KS4 with general cover across the wider Humanities faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver interactive Religious Studies, Ethics, and Philosophy lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE groups.

• Cultivate an open classroom atmosphere that encourages balanced debate, respectful dialogue, and critical enquiry.

• Adapt flexibly to provide cover across related Humanities subjects when required.

Candidate Requirements:

• QTS/QTLS certification or verified instructor experience delivering RE in a secondary setting.

• Solid understanding of the national curriculum and GCSE syllabi for Religious Education.

• Registered Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo a new check).
