Job Title: Religious Education (RE) & Ethics Specialist

Salary/Rate: £150 - £210 per day (Outer London / Fringe MPS scale)

Location: Loughton / West Essex (Central Line link)

Promote critical analysis, global ethics, and philosophical debate in secondary education.

Randstad Education is looking to recruit a dynamic RE & Philosophy Teacher for an established secondary school located in West Essex. Located directly along the Central Line with Outer London Fringe pay, the school warmly encourages applications from London-based educators seeking a straightforward train ride into a modern Essex department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver thought-provoking Religious Studies, Ethics, and Philosophy lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE groups.

• Establish an open classroom climate that encourages balanced debate, mutual respect, and inquiry.

• Adapt flexibly to provide cover across related Humanities subjects when required.

Candidate Requirements:

• QTS/QTLS certification or verified instructor experience teaching RE in secondary schools.

• Thorough knowledge of the national curriculum and GCSE syllabi for Religious Education.

• Registered Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new check).
