Randstad Education is seeking two experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a highly regarded, well-established SEN school in Luton. This long-term role is tailored for passionate professionals who excel at supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Targeted Support: Deliver dynamic 1:1 and small-group interventions for pupils with SEN, SEMH, and ASD.
  • Teacher Collaboration: Assist class teachers with adapting learning resources, lesson preparation, and tailored curriculum delivery.
  • Behaviour Management: Utilise effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours while supporting pupil's emotional and physical well-being.
  • Progress Tracking: Implement bespoke learning plans, record achievements, and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Inclusive Environment: Foster a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes independence and confidence.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience supporting children with SEN, specifically SEMH and high-functioning ASD.
  • Skills: Strong behaviour de-escalation skills, classroom management expertise, adaptability, and outstanding communication.
  • DBS: An Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one during registration).
  • Work Rights: Must hold the legal right to work in the UK (Visa sponsorship is not available for this role).
  • References: Must be able to provide two professional, recent references.
