At HM Land Registry, we're transforming the way we deliver services through digital innovation, and data plays a vital role in that journey. We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Performance Analyst to join our analytical team and help us understand how our digital products are performing, where improvements can be made, and how we can provide better outcomes for our customers and colleagues.

You'll work in a supportive and collaborative environment, learning from experienced analysts while developing your own technical and analytical capabilities. Using data from a variety of sources, you'll help generate actionable insights that inform decision-making and support the continuous improvement of our digital services.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of digital transformation projects and the opportunity to work closely with colleagues from different professions, including data science, user research, customer insight, delivery and product management. Whether you're starting your analytical career or looking to build on existing experience, you'll be supported to learn, grow and make a meaningful impact.

Main Duties

• Support Performance Analysts and Senior Performance Analysts in delivering data, analysis and insight to a range of stakeholders.
• Help identify, source and analyse the most appropriate data to answer business questions and support decision-making.
• Contribute to the creation of meaningful performance measures and frameworks for digital product teams.
• Assist in developing analytical products that provide actionable insight and tell compelling data stories.
• Communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders, helping to influence digital product development and service improvements.
• Build an understanding of HM Land Registry's business processes, services and digital products to enhance analytical outputs.
• Collaborate with colleagues across a range of professions, including data science, user research, customer insight and product teams.
• Support the monitoring and evaluation of product performance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work within Agile teams and contribute to the delivery of analytical outputs in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage competing priorities effectively and adapt to changing business needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of analytical best practice.

Person specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following throughout the recruitment process.

Desirable Technical Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree in a numerate subject (including, but not limited to maths, physics or engineering) or relevant work experience.

Essential Experience:

• Undertaking analysis and providing insight: Can analyse data and provide insight. Can learn and apply new analytical tools.
• Communicating analysis and insight: Understands the appropriate media to communicate findings. Shapes and shares communications appropriately for the audience.
• Using appropriate data: Has collected, collated and prepared data for analysis. Can explore and analyse data using languages such as SQL, R and/or Python.

Desirable Experience:

• Using appropriate data: use of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
• Communicating analysis and insight: Experience of using data visualisation or business intelligence tools, especially PowerBI.
