About the role

Job summary

You will work alongside a small Facilities Management (FM) team on day-to-day FM issues to support the operational teams providing a range of help desk services to the organisation, identifying compliance issues, and seeking guidance on ways to improve value for money.

In this role you will play a key part in delivering FM and Accommodation services to the organisation. You will assist with the implementation of FM and providing safe, sustainable efficient and effective accommodation and services that are fit for purpose. You will hold responsibility and conduct the day-to-day requirements and tasks of accommodation projects.

Contract Management of day-to-day performance of FM suppliers and reporting performance issues to the Senior FM Manager. Assist with supplier performance reviews and help to manage customer expectations.

Job description

As a Facilities Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Support the Senior FM Manager to develop and deliver effective and efficient building standards and services, seeking continual improvement of the estate and FM services.
  • Assist the Senior FM Manager in planning and implementing office accommodation and moves, maintaining and updating floor plans to reflect changes.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating with contractors to minimise disruption and comply with H&S.
  • If required, being on-call out of hours, and expected to work out of hours (evenings and weekends paid overtime).
  • To assist the Senior FM Manager and the Head of Facilities with the relocation to a new building, helping with the design and physical move, including the transfer or termination of FM services and dilapidation requirements. Working collaboratively with other work stream leads, providing support as necessary, and updating stakeholders as and when required.
  • Aid and support to FM related projects ensuring they are delivered on time and to specification and within budget.
