About the role

Job Description

Discover yourself in Lewisham where what you do makes a difference to our vibrant and culturally diverse communities!

We have a rich history of welcoming people from all over the world and are proud to be recognised as the UK’s first Borough of Sanctuary, for our work in championing the rights of refugees and migrants.

Introduction

Frontline leadership with zero compromise on safety and resident care. This role is about setting high standards on site, ensuring repairs are delivered safely, professionally and with respect for residents in their homes. You will take day‑to‑day ownership of live works, make sound decisions and managing changing priorities to keep jobs moving and risks controlled. If you believe a strong safety culture, clear communication and pride in workmanship are essential to delivering a positive resident experience, this role is for you.

What’s the role?

As a Works Supervisor, you will be responsible for the on‑site supervision of trade operatives delivering repairs across voids, responsive repairs, damp and mould, and roofing workstreams. You will manage daily workloads, often juggle multiple jobs and priorities, while maintaining strong control over quality, productivity and performance. A key part of the role is embedding a positive safety culture, ensuring safe systems of work are followed at all times and challenging poor practice where necessary. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong technical knowledge, the ability to make sound decisions on site, and a clear focus on delivering a high‑quality, right‑first‑time repairs service for residents.
