Out of Hours Veterinary Care Assistant

Vets for Pets Colchester Referral Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Out of Hours Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to join our expanding team. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment and have a passion for animal care. As a VCA, you will work closely with Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, and our hospital team, providing essential support in caring for patients and ensuring smooth hospital operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient admissions, monitoring inpatients, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting clinical procedures, all while delivering exceptional client care.

In this role, you will benefit from a unique four-week shift pattern designed to offer longer periods of time off, including a six-day consecutive break that allows you to recharge and enjoy personal time. We are looking for candidates who are proactive, reliable, and genuinely care for animal welfare. While prior veterinary experience is desirable, it is not necessary as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
