About the role

Title: Lettings Associate

Contract Type: 1x 12 month FT Mat leave - Full Time, 35 hours

Salary: Starting from £30,386 per annum (Regional salary) plus commission*

Reporting Office: Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker: 40% - 60% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday – 09:00 – 17:00 (NB. The successful candidate will occasionally be required to work on a Saturday)

Join our Intermediate Rent Team at L&Q:

Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and helping people find their new home? We’re looking for three Lettings Associates to join our team and play a key role in letting Intermediate Market Rent, Rent to Buy and London Living Rent homes and supporting our mission to provide high quality, affordable housing.

As a Lettings Associate, you’ll manage applications, support customers through the lettings process, and help maximise reservations across our portfolio. You’ll work closely with Senior Lettings Associates, the Lettings Team Manager, and colleagues in Marketing, Property Management, and Tenancy Progression.

Your impact in the role:

  • Manage and maintain applications databases for various rental schemes.
  • Maximise reservations and secure tenants who meet eligibility criteria.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, acting as the main contact for potential tenants.
  • Guide customers through the lettings process from enquiry to occupation.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth lettings processes.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and oversee payment processes.

What you'll bring:

  • Driving licence with access to a vehicle with business insurance for work use.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of assured shorthold tenancy legislation and the UK letting market.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational skills, with proven success in delivering objectives in a fast-paced, customer-focused commercial environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Highly developed relationship, client, or stakeholder management skills.
  • ARLA qualifications (desirable).
