Graduate Mechanical Engineer

You’ll work closely with both office-based engineers and workshop teams, gaining valuable exposure to how engineered products are designed, manufactured and delivered.

The Role

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you’ll support the design and development of specialist engineered equipment, taking concepts and process requirements through to detailed designs ready for manufacture. You’ll gain experience across 2D drafting, 3D CAD, mechanical components, structural design, technical documentation and manufacturing drawings. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll develop your design capability while learning how engineering decisions consider performance, practicality, quality and cost. This is a strong opportunity for a graduate or early-career Mechanical Engineer who wants varied responsibilities and room to grow.

• Develop mechanical designs and concepts ready for manufacture.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Select mechanical components and prepare supporting technical documentation.
• Work with engineering and commercial teams on new products and capabilities.

Requirements

• 2:1 equivalent or above in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• Natural ability to problem solve
• Excellent communication with a can-do attitude
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks or similar
• Driving licence required to access facility
