The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Solihull is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join its Mathematics department from September 2026 on a full-time supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ confidence in numeracy, algebra, geometry, statistics, reasoning, and problem-solving. You will support students in preparing for their GCSE Mathematics examinations while helping them develop a positive and confident attitude towards the subject.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will uphold high expectations for behaviour and achievement while encouraging resilience, independent learning, and academic progress.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
    • Have experience teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
    • Be confident delivering the GCSE Maths curriculum
    • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
    • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
    • Have a positive, engaging, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
