Grayscale Medical is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics for a locum placement at Antrim Area Hospital, within the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a three-month contract running from 28 August to 28 November 2026, offering a Specialty Doctor-grade clinician the opportunity to work in a well-established paediatric department serving a large population across the Northern Trust region.

Antrim Area Hospital is a major acute hospital providing comprehensive paediatric inpatient and outpatient services. In this role you will manage a varied caseload of general paediatric presentations, support the paediatric assessment unit, contribute to consultant-led ward rounds, and participate in the on-call rota. You will work alongside consultant paediatricians, specialist registrars, and a multidisciplinary team including paediatric nursing staff, allied health professionals, and community services.

The assignment rate for this position is £60.00 per hour. Day shifts are available across the contract period.

Candidates must hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise and have the right to work in the UK. A current DBS or AccessNI disclosure is required, together with occupational health clearance, BLS certification, safeguarding training, and infection control compliance. Two professional references are mandatory. Substantial experience in paediatrics at Specialty Doctor level or equivalent SAS grade is essential.
