Staff Accountant

Accountant - Growing P&C Insurance Business
Location: Boca Raton, FLHybrid: Three days onsite following an initial 90-day training period
We are partnering with a large, privately owned warranty and vehicle protection organization to hire an Accountant for its rapidly growing P&C insurance business.
The wider organization employs approximately 300 people and operates across 34 separate entities, creating a dynamic and complex accounting environment. This position offers the opportunity to join an established Finance and Accounting function while gaining broad exposure within a growing insurance carrier.
Key Responsibilities

Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Assist with financial reporting and account analysis.
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Support internal and external audit requests.
Work closely with teams across Accounting, Treasury, AP, AR and Financial Reporting.
Help strengthen accounting processes, controls and reporting capabilities.
Take on increasingly complex assignments as the insurance business grows.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Previous accounting experience within insurance, financial services, public accounting or another complex business environment.
Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
A bright, inquisitive and motivated individual who is eager to learn and advance.
CPA progress or interest in pursuing the CPA is welcomed and supported.
