Finance Assistant

Permanent – Full-time – up to £35K D.O.E – Handforth

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant who has experience of redefining and implementing the credit control process. They must also have experience working in a group setting, acting as a credit controller across multiple entities. This role is to join a well-established company based in Handforth.

Responsibilities

• Experience working as a group credit controller working across multiple entities
• Creating a process of escalation for outstanding debts including debt recovery and legal proceedings
• Monitoring invoices and chasing overdue payments via phone and email
• Building professional relationships with trusts, clients and stakeholders to encourage prompt payments
• Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
• Resolving queries regarding payment and invoicing, collaborating with Commercial, Project and Finance Teams
• Produce weekly and monthly aged debt reports for Management
• Maintaining accurate records and credit limits
• Assist with cash flow forecasting by providing accurate debtor information
• Prepare statements and copy invoices when required
