Part-Time Property/Service Charge Accountant

Part-Time Property/Service Charge Accountant – Hampstead – £24,000 – £28,000 DOE

Our client, an award winning, independent estate agency are looking for a part-time Property/Service Charge Accountant to join the team in Northwest London.

This is a newly created role supporting their Property Management and Block Management teams as the business continues to develop. Working approximately three days per week, you will take ownership of key property accounting functions and work closely with Property Managers, Block Managers and senior management.

You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of an important part of the business, improve existing processes and help develop the property accounting function as the company grows.

Duties

• Preparation of annual service-charge accounts
• Service-charge budgets
• Client-account reconciliations
• Invoice processing and raising
• Accruals and prepayments
• Arrears and financial reporting
• Liaising with external accountants
• Supporting Property and Block Managers with financial queries
• Improving and streamlining existing accounting processes

Skills and Experience Required

• 2 years’ experience in residential property accounting/client accounting
• Experience in Service Charge accounting
• Experience in Block management accounts
• Highly organised
• Comfortable working independently and have excellent attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working alongside Property or Block Management teams would be particularly valuable
• Experience with Payprop – desirable

Working Hours: 3 days a week, hours are negotiable, office based
Salary: £24,000 – £28,000
