The Grange School is seeking an enthusiastic HLTA to join our committed and supportive team. We are looking for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about helping pupils thrive, delivering high-quality learning experiences, and supporting our mission of ensuring every child, every lesson, every day achieves their full potential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality learning activities and lessons across the school, including whole-class teaching during teacher absence or PPA cover.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare and adapt learning activities that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Support pupils to achieve their full potential by promoting high expectations, engagement and positive outcomes.
  • Provide targeted interventions and additional support for individuals and groups of pupils, including those with SEND and disadvantaged learners.
  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, providing timely feedback to teachers and contributing to pupil progress discussions.

Pay range:

  • SCP 8 - 12 - £23,592.34 - £25,152.62
  • FTE: £26,824.00 - £28,598.00
  • 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
  • Permanent

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Recent experience of working with primary-aged children in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
