About the role
Administrative Officer
Location: Reading- RG1-1DX Pay rate:£12.86ph Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Our Client is hiring for a Admin officer in the Government, supporting the smooth running of Reading Employment Tribunal.
What you'll be doing:
* Prepare papers, files and documents for hearings, meetings and court/tribunal activity
* Produce standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes and reports using guidance
* Maintain and update records and complete data input on an in-house computer system
* Open and dispatch post, support the organisation of meeting rooms and training sessions
* Provide helpful front-of-counter, written and telephone support, including assisting court/tribunal users
* Support listing and rota activity by checking files and keeping information up to date
* Contact relevant parties and arrange scheduling/serving of court documents, including handling warrants and collecting fines/fees
* Carry out checking and verification of documents, records, statistics and returns against criteria and procedures
* Contribute to continuous improvement-using lean approaches, discretion and initiative within set processes
* Support daily TIB (Team Information Board) meetings by helping ensure they're relevant, timely and productive
* Handle ad hoc responsibilities within the band as required (where applicable)
What you'll bring:
* Strong customer service mindset, with a friendly, polite approach-especially under pressure
* Excellent administrative accuracy: able to input, update, assemble and check information carefully
* Confidence working with guidance, instructions and comprehensive processes (SOPS)
* Basic analytical capability for straightforward statistical reporting and processing
* Solid communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with the public, the judiciary and other stakeholders
* Reliability with your own time and the ability to work as part of a team with management support
Additional information:
* You'll be based at the Reading Employment Tribunal Building, with some flexibility to support other local offices on an ad hoc basis.
