About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and technically minded Project Manager to join a growing business.

 

This is a varied role, combining office-based project management with regular customer-site visits. You’ll coordinate engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and clients, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from handover through to completion.
  • Plan and monitor project schedules, budgets and resources.
  • Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Visit customer sites to oversee installations and project progress.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout each project.
  • Review project specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
  • Monitor costs, timescales, quality and project risks.
  • Identify and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure equipment and materials are available when required.
  • Ensure projects meet company, health and safety and industry standards.
  • Lead progress meetings and provide regular project updates.
  • Maintain accurate project records and handover documentation.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in project management, project coordination or a technical role.
  • Good understanding of technical systems, ideally within engineering, electrical, electronic or IT settings.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Comfortable managing budgets, schedules, resources and project documentation.
  • Able to work independently, make decisions and take ownership of projects.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Full UK driving licence with the flexibility to travel to customer sites when required.
