Quality Supervisor

JOB TITLE: Quality Supervisor (Evening Shift)
LOCATION: Brentry, BS10 (Easily accessible by public transport)
PAY RATE: £15.00 per hour
SHIFT PATTERN: Monday – Thursday | 13:00 – 22:00
(Occasional Friday shifts may be required)

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead the evening quality operations for our client in Brentry. This is a key leadership role, requiring a strong background in quality control to ensure that all products leaving the factory meet the highest standards of safety and legal compliance.

Candidates must be available for the evening shift (13:00 – 22:00) for a fixed 4-week period in September. After this period, there is an optional transition to early morning starts (07:00/08:00) – you are free to choose whether you wish to move to mornings or remain on the evening shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and oversee the quality assurance team during the evening shift.

• Ensure rigorous food safety and legal compliance across all production stages.

• Review and sign off production records to verify that critical safety procedures are followed.

• Take immediate corrective action on any quality or safety issues and report findings to senior management.

• Perform quality monitoring checks and audit hygiene standards and factory fabric.

• Monitor cleaning effectiveness through hygiene and environmental swabbing for microbiological testing.

• Verify the accuracy of labels for both retail and wholesale products.

THE CANDIDATE:

• Essential: Proven experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a food production environment.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong IT/computer literacy.

• Exceptional communication skills to report issues clearly to management and staff.
