Year 5 teacher

A welcoming primary school in Rugby seeks a confident Year 5 Teacher for a full‑time role. You deliver structured, engaging lessons that help pupils feel motivated, focused and ready to progress. Moreover, you create clear routines that support independence, positive behaviour and strong learning habits. In addition, you work closely with the KS2 team to plan purposeful activities that build key skills and prepare pupils for upper‑KS2 expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Year 5 lessons that build secure KS2 knowledge
• Deliver structured literacy and numeracy sessions
• Use clear routines to support regulation and reduce anxiety
• Prepare adapted learning tasks for pupils needing extra help
• Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
• Work closely with teaching assistants and the KS2 lead to maintain consistent provision
• Track pupil progress and adjust teaching when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified KS2 Teacher with QTS or PGCE
• Strong experience delivering the KS2 curriculum
• Clear communication and a warm, structured teaching style
• Confidence supporting Year 5 learners
• Ability to maintain consistent routines and support emotional regulation
• Full‑time availability
• Interest in Rugby‑based teaching roles
