People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Export Operations Manager to join our well-established client based in Warrington.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a growing international export operation within an established manufacturing business.

This newly created position offers the chance to lead and develop the export function, manage the export loading team, and drive improvements across safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service.

This role would suit applicants who have worked as an Export Manager, Logistics Manager or and International Logistics Manager.

Rates of Pay:

• £45,000 – £49,000 per annum

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Full-time
• Permanent position

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an Export Operations Manager are:

• Take full ownership of the day-to-day export operation
• Manage the complete export process from order release through to loading and dispatch
• Ensure export orders are accurately picked, packed, checked and dispatched within agreed shipping deadlines
• Coordinate export shipments across air freight, sea freight and road transport
• Ensure export packing lists are accurate, complete and fully reconciled before dispatch
• Oversee the accurate completion of export and customs documentation
• Monitor export performance, productivity and accuracy
• Lead, motivate and develop the export loading team
• Plan daily workloads to ensure export deadlines are consistently achieved
• Coach, train and develop team members
• Work closely with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Planning, Warehouse and Logistics teams
• Manage export packaging materials and consumables
• Drive improvements in packing-list accuracy, loading quality and operational efficiency
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maximise the effective use of WMS and ERP systems
• Ensure all export loading activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an Export Operations Manager, you will need:

• Previous experience managing an export, international logistics, shipping, warehouse or distribution operation
• Strong understanding of international export operations
• Experience coordinating air, sea and/or road freight
• Previous team leadership or people-management experience
• Strong operational planning and organisational skills
• Experience managing picking, packing, loading and dispatch operations
• Knowledge of export documentation and customs requirements
• Strong focus on accuracy, quality and customer service
• Experience implementing process and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong Health & Safety awareness
• Experience working with WMS and/or ERP systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively across multiple operational departments
• A proactive, organised and hands-on management style
