Warehouse Operative

Pertemps are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative for our customer based in Hykeham, near Lincoln. We are looking for someone to work within our customer’s returns department, where you will be responsible for checking returned items and processing them accordingly. This role involves manual handling and heavy lifting, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, with the successful candidate being offered a permanent contract following a successful initial period.
 
Pay & Hours

• Monday to Friday
  
  
• 07:00 – 16:00
  
  
• £12.91 per hour
  
  

 
Duties

• Checking returned products for damage or faults
  
  
• Processing returned items in line with company procedures
  
  
• Sorting stock and preparing items for resale, repair, or disposal
  
  
• Updating records and completing relevant paperwork accurately
  
  
• Moving stock safely throughout the warehouse
  
  
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse
  
  
• Always following all health and safety procedures
  
  

 
Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential
  
  
• Comfortable carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the shift
  
  
• Good attention to detail when checking returned items
  
  
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time hours
  
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
  
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  
  
• Own transport may be beneficial due to location
