General Operator (Sheet Metal Department) - Night Shift

Safran Nacelles is a world-leading aerospace manufacturer, specialising in the design, integration and support of aircraft nacelles for some of the world’s leading aircraft programmes. Due to increased workload and a requirement to support stock build activities within our Rubber Press area, we are seeking a General Operator to join our Sheet Metal Department on a night shift basis at our Burnley facility.

The Role

As a General Operator, you will carry out a range of manufacturing and engineering activities within the Sheet Metal Department, supporting production requirements while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

This role is ideally suited to individuals with a strong foundation in engineering and manufacturing practices who are looking to develop their career within the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general manufacturing and engineering duties within the Sheet Metal Department.
• Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
• Support production requirements to meet business and customer demands.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and workmanship at all times.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Work effectively as part of the night shift production team.

Essential Requirements

NVQ Level 2 in a relevant engineering or manufacturing discipline is ESSENTIAL

Applications will only be considered from candidates who hold:

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Sheet Metal Work, Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, or a related discipline.

In addition, applicants must demonstrate:

• General basic engineering skills.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and engineering documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.
