Maintain and manage a range of electronic and paper-based data and document management systems, including filing, archiving, retrieval, research, quality checking and the transfer of information to external organisations in accordance with statutory requirements and service level agreements.
Prepare correspondence, papers and reports; implement recommendations; monitor actions and follow-up requirements; and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence in accordance with departmental procedures.
Process financial transactions in accordance with Council financial regulations and governance arrangements. Duties may include receiving and recording payments, processing credit card transactions, preparing bank lodgements, maintaining financial records, raising invoices for authorisation, purchasing goods and services, monitoring stock records, assisting with financial claims and supporting budget monitoring activities.
Operate and monitor the Council’s manual and computerised booking and requisition systems in accordance with approved procedures.
Acknowledge, draft, issue and respond to correspondence within agreed timescales and in accordance with departmental procedures.
Organise and support meetings, including preparing agendas, coordinating papers, servicing meetings, taking and distributing minutes, recording actions, implementing recommendations and monitoring follow-up activities.
Assist with the planning and delivery of departmental projects, initiatives and events as required.
