Managing Director – Public Sector & TransportLocation: London | Hybrid Salary: Up to £200,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Sector: Public Sector | Government | Transport | DefenceWe are supporting a leading global change and transformation consultancy in recruiting a Managing Director – Public Sector & Transport to join its senior leadership team in London.This is a highly commercial, client-facing leadership role with responsibility for acquiring, developing and growing major Public Sector accounts, while overseeing the successful delivery of complex transformation engagements.The role will operate across Home Office & Policing, Tax & Welfare, Transport, Defence & National Security, providing significant scope to shape the consultancy's continued growth across UK Government.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the acquisition and growth of major Public Sector & Transport accounts Build trusted relationships with C-suite, senior government and executive stakeholders Identify, shape and win significant new consulting engagements Develop and execute targeted account and growth strategies Lead business development across existing and new client accounts Manage complex procurement-led opportunities, SOWs and MSP/VMS environments Own account performance across revenue, profitability, delivery quality and client satisfaction Oversee portfolios of complex transformation programmes and engagements Lead and develop geographically distributed consulting teams Manage commercial and delivery risk across key accounts Build market presence as a senior Government & Public Sector thought leader Experience Required12+ years' Professional Services / Consulting experience Significant experience at Director, Partner, Managing Director or equivalent senior leadership level 10+ years' business development experience across Public Sector & Transport Deep expertise and established relationships within the UK Public Sector Strong track record of winning and growing major consulting accounts Experience developing proposals and selling complex consulting solutions Experience with SOW, MSP/VMS and large procurement-led opportunities Proven delivery of large-scale, complex consulting and transformation engagements Strong commercial understanding with experience managing revenue, margins and account profitability Experience leading geographically distributed teams Excellent C-suite stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills What's On OfferSalary up to £200,000 Senior leadership position within a global consultancy Significant ownership of major UK Public Sector accounts Opportunity to drive growth across Government, Defence, Policing and Transport London-based hybrid working Flexible time off Private medical plan Health cash plan Workplace savings schemes Enhanced parental leave Excellent long-term leadership and commercial growth opportunities This is an excellent opportunity for an established Public Sector Consulting Director, Partner or Managing Director with the network and commercial track record to win, grow and lead major UK Government accounts.Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
