About the role
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with the EVP Technical and Technical Leadership Team to shape and deliver strategic people priorities.
- Translate business objectives into comprehensive people plans that support organisational performance, capability and sustainable growth.
- Provide expert advice, challenge and coaching on organisation design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, talent management and change.
- Use people data, insights and trends to inform decision-making and support business outcomes.
- Lead, coach and develop the HR Business Partner team to deliver a high-impact, value-adding service.
- Establish and embed a consistent, commercially focused business partnering model
- Build organisational capability within the HRBP team and ensure alignment to business priorities and strategic goals.
- Promote collaboration, continuous improvement and professional excellence across the partnering function.
- Partner with the Talent & OD Manager to embed talent, succession, capability and leadership development initiatives.
- Work closely with the Culture Lead to strengthen engagement and embed values and desired behaviours.
- Collaborate with the Employee Relations & Experience Lead to enhance employee engagement, wellbeing and the employee experience.
- Support the Reward Manager in the implementation of reward, recognition and performance management initiatives.
- Partner with the HR Operations, Processes & Systems Manager to drive effective adoption of people processes, systems and data-led decision-making.
- Lead workforce planning, organisational design and business change initiatives to ensure organisational effectiveness and future readiness.
- Facilitate talent and succession planning discussions across the business, identifying critical capability and leadership requirements.
- Support leaders in building high-performing teams, strengthening leadership capability and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives that enhance organisational performance, employee engagement and productivity.
- Act as an active member of the HRLT, championing a "One People & Culture" approach across the function.
- Represent business priorities within the People & Culture team and influence the development of enterprise-wide people solutions.
- Lead strategic people projects and organisational initiatives as required.
- Deputise for the EVP People & Culture on key business and people matters as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Significant experience in a senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager or HR leadership role within a complex organisation.
- Proven experience partnering executive and senior leadership teams to deliver business and people outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in organisational design, workforce planning, change management and leadership development.
- Strong understanding of employee relations, talent management, performance management and succession planning.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing HR teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge and build credibility at all levels.
- Commercially focused with the ability to translate business strategy into practical people solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use people data and insights to support decision-making.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Chartered MCIPD qualification.
- Experience within the energy, engineering, technical or project-based sectors.
- Experience supporting business transformation, growth and organisational change programmes.
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation and contemporary HR best practice.
