Service Driver - Newcastle

Newcastle Depot | 45 Hours Per Week | £30,607.20 Per Year

Jackson Hogg is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Driver to join their team based from the Newcastle depot.

This is a customer-facing role responsible for delivering, servicing and collecting portable toilets across the region. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high service standards while ensuring all transport, environmental and health & safety requirements are met.

The Role

As a Service Driver, you will be responsible for delivering portable toilets to customer sites, servicing units throughout the hire period, and collecting them once the hire has ended.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver portable toilets to customer sites and collect them at the end of the hire period
• Carry out regular servicing and cleaning of units while on hire
• Position vehicles safely before servicing and emptying units
• Load and unload portable toilets in line with company procedures
• Inspect units upon collection to ensure they are fit for return
• Record any damage, missing items or maintenance requirements
• Complete all delivery, collection and service documentation accurately
• Use company software systems to manage jobs and paperwork (training provided)
• Follow planned routes to maximise efficiency and minimise fuel consumption
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation and driving hours regulations
• Maintain high standards of customer service at all times

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Class C1 Driving Licence (minimum)
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 2 years' professional driving experience
• Experience in a customer-facing role
• Ability to manage workload effectively and work independently
