Service Engineer – Automatic & Industrial Doors

Location: Central – covering Oxford and surrounding areas (2 positions available)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Up to £43,000 basic
OTE: £60,000+ (including door-to-door travel, overtime, and on-call payments)

About the Company

TSM Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing specialist within the automatic entrance systems industry.

The business operates across commercial, retail, and industrial environments, delivering installation, servicing, and maintenance solutions across a wide range of automatic and industrial door systems.

Due to continued growth in the Central region, they are now looking to appoint two experienced Service Engineers to join their expanding engineering team.

The Role

This is a field-based role covering Oxford and surrounding areas, responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of automatic and industrial door systems.

You will work independently across a varied customer base, supported by a strong management team and ongoing technical training.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, repair, and install:
  • Automatic sliding, swing, folding, and revolving doors
  • Industrial shutters, roller shutters, sectional and high-speed doors
• Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
• Complete digital job reports using a company-issued iPad
• Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance
• Deliver excellent customer service on-site
• Participate in an on-call rota and overtime when required

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an automatic door engineer
• EN16005 or BS7036 qualification
• Valid CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience using tablets/iPads for job management
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
• Self-motivated and flexible approach to work

Desirable

• Experience with industrial doors
• IPAF licence
• PASMA or DHF accreditation

Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary up to £43,000
• OTE £60,000+ achievable
• Door-to-door travel pay
• On-call allowance: £175 per week + call-out bonuses (1in5/6) 
• Overtime: 1.5x after 5pm, 2x Sundays & Bank Holidays
