Job TitleSection Engineer SummaryWe’re looking for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major UK power infrastructure project in the East of England. This site-based role is ideal for a civil engineering professional with strong setting-out and technical experience who wants exposure to a variety of complex infrastructure works. You’ll be part of a team delivering essential upgrades that will shape the country’s energy future. Salary£41,000 – £49,500 per annum plus car / car allowance of £4,500Location and Working PatternEast of EnglandFull-time, site-based roleAttendance required for morning briefings at 7.15amTravel required between project locations: Bury St Edmunds/Norwich/Bramford/TilburyThis role is not hybrid or remote ResponsibilitiesSupport the safe and successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure worksUndertake setting out and engineering control duties across multiple work frontsCoordinate site engineering activities and provide technical support to construction teamsEnsure quality assurance processes, inspections, and documentation meet project standardsProduce and manage engineering reports and digital recordsSupport work packages including earthworks, drainage, structures, piling, roads and substation infrastructureCollaborate with senior team members and project management to ensure delivery targets are metPromote high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance on site Must-have RequirementsPrior experience as a Site Engineer, Section Engineer or similarProficiency in setting out and engineering controlBackground in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, highways, or major construction projectsValid CSCS CardRecognised qualification in Civil Engineering or related disciplineStrong communication and organisational skillsFull UK driving licenceAbility to pass a DBS check Nice-to-have SkillsExperience with earthworks, drainage, structures, roads, or foundation worksKnowledge of piling and foundation constructionExperience on power, utilities, or substation projectsFamiliarity with CAD, GIS, or digital construction platformsCertifications such as HSG47, First Aid, or SMSTS Apply NowReady to take on this exciting engineering challenge?
