After School Club Assistant

One Excellence Multi Academy Trust is a Multi Academy Trust made up of four schools. The Trust was founded in July 2017, and is a mixed Multi Academy Trust. The programme includes physiotherapy, nurse support service and drop-in clinic, counselling, mindfulness sessions, weight management, stress awareness, GP consultations and private medical operations if required. St Michael’s Church of England Primary School require an After School Club Assistant to support children with wraparound care.

At St. Michael’s, every child is distinct in their own way and we want their primary education to be as distinct as them and certainly a chapter of their lives that they will remember. We want each child to strive for academic success in all areas, by generating a real love for learning and offering them experiences that allow them to understand the world around them. We want them to be able to have these experiences the whole time they are in our care. You will have experience working with children; this may be within a school or childcare setting. You will have strong teamwork skills, be caring, self-motivated and patient.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing snacks and drinks

Supporting children with their self-care and promoting independence where appropriate

Providing nurturing and inclusive care for our youngest children

Planning and preparing structured, fun and age-appropriate activities to keep the children engaged

Building positive professional relationships with families and providing safe handovers with parents/carers

To adhere to stringent safeguarding practices.
